Michael Cole Appointed as Deputy Supervisor of Indian Creek Township, Planning for Budget Begins

February 20, 2026 by Kathy Sands

Michael Cole

The appointment of a Deputy Supervisor was on Wednesday night's Indian Creek Township agenda. This is a recommended appointment, so that in the case of the Supervisor's absence, Township business can continue. Supervisor Taylor Marsh brought her nomination of Michael Cole to the board and the board gave their approval.

Marsh stated her desire was for the entire board to be involved in working on the budget for the coming year and gave them the deadlines. The last day to publish the budget is May 30; it must be approved by June 30 and filed by July 31. It was decided  to set up two nights in late March for the board to meet and work on it. It was noted that these dates would have to be publicly noticed since the whole board would be meeting together. Other April events discussed were the Town Meeting which is held every year on the second Tuesday in April. This year it is on April 14, with the regular monthly meeting to follow. Clerk Ginny Norton explained the process for the Town Meeting. The last day for anyone that is a registered voter in the township to request an agenda item is the March 1. The Clerk said that residents not registered to vote can attend but have to sit separately as they cannot participate in voting on any township decsions.
