Two Fairfield residents walking their dogs last Wednesday called the White County Sheriff’s office, reporting that their dogs had found some small bones in a pile of trash along the road. Sgt. Craig Poole responded to the wooded area along County Road 2550 N., about ½ mile west of Mill Shoals.
White County Sheriff Doug Maier and Deputy Randy Graves also assisted, along with the ISP crime scene unit. It was determined after contacting an anthropologist from SIU that the bones were deer bones.
