Yesterday (Monday), White County Sheriff Doug Maier and Deputy Randy Graves, along with the Illinois State Police Drug Task Force, went to an address at 223 East 1900 North, in Enfield and arrested Justin Kays, age 27 of Carmi, on a warrant from Wayne County for Petition to Revoke Probation. Kays was handcuffed and transported to the City County Jail, where he later paid a cash bond of $500.
Two mailboxes in rural White County were damaged last week on November 20, 2019. James Carroll at 1244 County Road 800 E., Carmi reported to the White County Sheriff’s office that someone knocked the upper portion of his mailbox off of the lower base.
The White County Sheriff’s office was called on Saturday with a report of an unknown truck parked on the farm property of Mike Barbre at 1200E and 2040 N., Carmi.
On Monday, this morning at 12:06 a.m. the Callaway County, Ky. Sheriff’s office called in a report that a juvenile might be at 119 Fir Street in Enfield and was listed as a runaway.
The White County Sheriff’s office responded to a call on Sunday, Nov. 3, regarding an accident involving a side by side ATV. The crash was at the Stanley Mayberry Farm located at 527 N. and 400 E., Norris City. Two female juveniles were transported to local hospitals by their parents with non life-threatening injuries.
Crossville Woman turns herself in to White County Sheriff
Sheena Garrett, 32, of Crossville, was arrested on a White County warrant for Failure to Appear as she turned herself in to the Sheriff’s Department on Saturday, Nov. 2.
