The Board of Education of Norris City-Omaha-Enfield CUSD #3 will be meeting to conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, August 10th, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. to receive public comment on a proposed waiver application, which if approved, would allow the district to apply for a modification of the Illinois School Code Section 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12a Modification of the Illinois School Code Section 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12a would permit the District to charge less than 110% (or zero) of the per capita tuition charge for non-resident children of full-time employees of the District. The Village of Enfield is notifying the general public that they have received funding for the Water System Rehabilitation Phase 1 project. Funding for the project has been made possible by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Public Water Supply State Revolving Loan Fund, which receives a portion of its money from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The $805,020.70 loan has an interest rate of 0.83% and will be repaid over 30 years. $400,000.00 of the loan amount will be forgiven by the State of Illinois pursuant to principal forgiveness provisions contained in the Loan Rules. The project will consist of replacing old asbestos cement watermains with new PVC watermains. The project will replace & rehabilitate the aforementioned aging asbestos cement water system components to improve the infrastructure.

The Southern 14 Workforce Investment Board, Inc., Subgrant Recipient for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act programs in the counties of: Alexander, Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, Wabash, Wayne and White is seeking applications from organizations interested in being selected as a Youth Provider of Services for all or part of the above named counties comprising Workforce Investment Area 26. Request for proposals indicates that providers must agree to serve either the northern seven counties or the southern seven counties. County groups will not be separated, but respondents may propose to serve for alI fourteen counties.
Successful respondents will provide services that meet the requirements of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Section 134(c) (2) (A) (B) (C).
