Jr. Lady Cardinals Squeeze into Regional Championship

The third seed Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Lady Cardinal softball team ventured to Albion Thursday afternoon to play their first round game in the SIJHSAA Class M Regional Tournament. The Lady Cardinals were set to take on second seed Rome in their first round action with the winner earning the berth into the championship game against top seed Fairfield Monday afternoon at 4:30 pm.

Lady Cardinals Come Alive Late to Collect 8th Grade Night Victory

NCOE Jr. Cards Softball team on 8th Grade Night. Left to right, Coach Becky Weaver, Claira Powell, Lauren Poole, Elise Hortin, Mercedes Hise, Mallory Fulkerson, and Avery Black.

The NCOE Lady Cardinal softball team played their final home game Friday afternoon against West Salem and celebrated their 8th Grade Recognition in fine fashion as they disposed of the guests by the final score of 12-2.

Lady Cardinal Softball Shuts Lady Bearcats Out on Tuesday

Tuesday afternoon found the NCOE Lady Cardinal softball team hitting the road for their final Little Greater Egyptian Conference game when the ventured to Galatia to take on the Lady Bearcats. NCOE had a slow start on the offensive end but came alive to run away with the contest by the final score of 11-0.

Jr. Lady Cardinals Dispose of Lady Hawks Monday

Monday afternoon started a busy week of softball for NCOE when they played host to the Gallatin County Lady Hawks. NCOE surrendered a run in the first inning but that would be all they would allow as they held the Lady Hawks scoreless in the next four innings to walk away with the short game 11-1 victory.
