After repeated declarations over the past few months by resident Gene Harrison that he would see the TIF district dissolved, Mayor Skip Land made it known last night at the Village's board meeting that he and the board were done with that conversation Harrison also sent letters to the Village, and Mayor Land addressed those too.
“The board thinks that the TIF district and the process is working with sidewalks. We're talking about tearing down houses. We've done some work in the TIF district. You accused us of doing it illegally. Some of these people were on the board when it was done. The second letter says that we tricked everybody into getting into that process. Neither one of those is true. So those are fabricated, and I want you to hear that from me,” he concluded. He went on to address other complaints from Harrison not related to TIF.
