The White County Sheriff's Department released this report this morning:
On Friday, April 24, 2026, White County Sheriff's Department, along with the White County Ambulance service, responded to a single vehicle accident with injuries around the address of 1201 County Road 1450 East. Upon arrival, it was found that the vehicle, driven by Joseph Skaggs of Norris City, had gone off the roadway for reasons unknown and struck a culvert. In the vehicle was also a passenger, Carol Skaggs, also of Norris City. Both driver and passenger were taken to a hospital for injuries.
