Hamilton Memorial Hospital District Announces Construction of New Carmi Clinic

August 3, 2026 by Kathy Sands

Hamilton Memorial Hospital District is excited to announce that construction will soon begin on its new clinic site in Carmi, marking an important investment in the future of healthcare for White County and the surrounding communities.

The new clinic site will be located at: 1690 Falcon Ave., Carmi, IL

As part of a phased approach, a temporary clinic building will be placed on the new property and is expected to open this fall, ensuring patients continue to have convenient access to the quality care they know and trust while construction of the permanent facility is underway. The permanent clinic building will follow and provide an expanded, modern space designed to serve the community for years to come.

"This project represents our continued commitment to the Carmi community and to providing exceptional healthcare close to home," said Justin Epperson, Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton Memorial Hospital District. "Opening the temporary clinic this fall allows us to continue serving our patients without interruption while we build a permanent facility that will support the healthcare needs of our community well into the future."

The new permanent clinic will offer a modern, welcoming environment designed to enhance the patient experience while supporting providers and staff in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Hamilton Memorial Hospital District will share construction updates and project milestones throughout the building process as work progresses.

Patients can continue to expect the same trusted providers and quality care during the transition. Additional details regarding the move into the temporary clinic and the timeline for the permanent facility will be announced as they become available.
