The Michael Hillegas chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), District 7 DAR and the community collected cards in April featuring bunnies and unicorns for Emma, a military child, whose parents are originally from Southern Illinois. They also collected stuffed animals. Emma is ill and these items were uplifting for her.
The nation observes the Month of the Military Child each April. This group serves in their own way, supporting the parents and guardians who dedicate their lives to protecting our country.
