The White County Sheriff's Department is actively investigating a series of burglaries and thefts that have occurred throughout White County in the last three weeks. To date, the Department has taken approximately six reports involving the theft of farm equipment, recreational vehicles, and oil field equipment from privately owned properties.
These incidents have taken place in multiple areas of the county and are not isolated to a specific location. The Sheriff and Deputies have collected significant pieces of evidence from each scene, which have been submitted to the Illinois State Police Crime Laboratory for forensic analysis.

Information provided by the public can play a vital role in assisting the Sheriff's Department and bringing those responsible to justice.
These investigations remain active and ongoing. The Department will release additional information as it becomes available and as it is appropriate to do so.
