State Rep. Patrick Windhorst announced this week that voting is now open in his Southern Illinois is Beautiful Photo Contest. Windhorst says his office received numerous excellent submissions for the annual photo contest, and that choosing finalists was both difficult and rewarding.
“It’s never easy to choose, but this year’s submissions were so good that I am confident that the finalists we have chosen will receive a large number of enthusiastic votes,” Windhorst said. “Supporters of finalists in this year’s contest have until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26th to cast their “Like” or “Love” vote on my official State Facebook page where the contest finalist’s photos are displayed. I wish all finalists the best of luck, and I sincerely thank everyone who participated in this year’s Southern Illinois is Beautiful Photo Contest.”

Descriptions of the photos, the photo's category, and the photo's submitter will appear in the caption of the photos. The photos earning the most likes and loves will be declared the winners. Winners will be announced at Noon on Friday, November 29th. Winning photos will be displayed in Rep. Windhorst’s Harrisburg and West Frankfort District Offices and his Springfield Capitol office. Winning contestants will receive an official certificate of congratulations from the Illinois House of Representatives.
