The Electoral Board of the City of Carmi, Illinois convened this morning at the Carmi City Council chambers to begin the process of examining the objection of current Mayor Jeff Pollard to his sole challenger in the upcoming mayoral race. In dispute is the residency of challenger William B. Stendeback, who filed papers announcing his candidacy for the 2025 mayoral race. Pollard is seeking a fourth term as Mayor of Carmi.
