The major news coming out of Wednesday night's NCOE school board meeting was the successful completion of the bond sale. The district sold the bonds at 4.36% for a 20-year term, with a total of $3,160,517 in investment income. Local banks First Bank and Banterra Bank purchased nearly 70% of the bonds, showing strong local support. Superintendent Matt Vollman noted it was advantageous for the district to wait for market rates to drop back to comparable levels.
