Treasurer James Murphy told the the Mill Shoals board at their October board meeting that the old Fire Protection Fund didn’t really have a purpose anymore as the Village no longer owns the Fire Department. The Board unanimously agreed to shift the remaining funds in the old Fire Protection Fund to the Village's Water fund to help alleviate the costs of mandated ILEPA requirements. Murphy also reported that the Annual Tax Levy and Appropriations Ordinance would be ready for the Board to vote on at next month’s meeting.
