There has been no official action yet in response to the Wayne County Housing Authority board's Resident Commissioner's request for a quo warranto action and official misconduct investigation into the Authority. Resident Commissioner Ron Baker made his request on February 1, 2026, filing the action because the Housing board attempted to remove him (again) without proper authority to do so, and for continuing to exercise public authority while not lawfully constituted. Baker says the Authority is in violation of 735 ILCS 5/18-101(1) (exercising an authority under the law they do not possess) and (5). He has requested a criminal investigation into what he says is the "willful misconduct of individual commissioners" Dixie Locke, Doyle Hucker and Tim McBride, as well as County Board Chair Daryl Hargrave in his capacity as the appointing authority of the Housing board, and Executive Director Kimella Musgrave.
