The Enfield Village board meeting on Tuesday night began with the swearing-in of new Village officials: Maurie Black was sworn in as president, Kayla Weaver as Clerk, Angela Carter as Treasurer, Shelby Carter and Amy Arvin as trustees. Previously appointed and newly-elected trustee Steve Griffin resigned due to health issues and was not sworn in. His resignation letter stated:
" I, Stephen Griffin, as of May 13, hereby resign my position as trustee of the village of Enfield. Due to my health issues and my age, I respectfully decline to serve. I alone have put myself in this position, I appreciate your confidence in me. I must apologize to the voters for not getting my name removed for the ballot at the proper time. May the laws of parliamentary procedure guide you."
