Officers of The Carmi Police Department compiled drug information that resulted in the issuance of three search warrants for three residences in Carmi. Those three addresses included Charles E. Newman's residence located at 708 7th St, Bobby D. Merrill's residence located at 205 Rail Road Avenue, and James Christian Steven's residence located at 105 Fairview Drive. All three warrants were executed on Friday morning, 11/14/25. The Carmi Police Department received assistance in the execution of the warrants by the White County Sheriff's Department.
