All county board members were in attendance on Tuesday night at the May monthly board meeting and gave their approval to a change order on the remodeling of the former Carmi Times Building. The final order included the HVAC, doors, sliding windows, and sewer in the amount of $24,491.00. The fifth installment payment to Johannes Construction, LLC for the renovation in the amount of $190,519.20 was also approved. It was reported that the balance remaining to be paid on the project is $85,000. All of the payments have come out of the ARPA fund. The Treasurer's office and the County Clerk will be locating to the Times building sometime in the very near future.
