We would like to thank everyone who attended the Valentine Activity on January 24th. Shelia Albright, Michael Hillegas Chapter/NSDAR are still collecting cards for the Valentines for Heroes program. Directions for sending a valentine are as follows: address each valentine to “Honored Veteran” on the outside of the envelope, write a few sentences thanking them for their service on the valentine, include only your first name and do not seal the envelope. The Norris City Library has new earlier hours! Join us Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Change is coming in September! New earlier library hours begin on Thursday, September 1st. Our hours Monday – Thursday will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays we will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays we will be open 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We hope that the new hours make it more convenient for everyone!

The long-dreamed-of Norris City Planter Project kicked off on Saturday, April 23 with the final phase of planting flowers in the barrel planters that were placed in the downtown area of E. Main Street and South Division Street. Ten planters have been placed with each one showcasing a plaque with historical reference from the Village's history as well as who will be tending the planters throughout the summer. [Read more...]
