The annual meeting of the White County Farm Bureau was held on Friday, January 22, 2021, marking the 100th annual gathering of the organization. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 guidelines, the centennial meeting was not marked with the celebration it deserved. 21 invited members and guests met in person at the Farm Bureau office, and one member joined via Zoom. The White County Farm Bureau Foundation is pleased to offer a $500 scholarship to a White County student in 2021. In addition, the Young Leader Committee will be offering their own $750 scholarship.
Applicants must reside in White County and major in an agriculture-related field of study for the fall 2021 semester or indicate post-graduate career goals that will impact agriculture in their application.
Applications are now available on the White County Farm Bureau website at www.whitecfb.com. The same application is used for both scholarships. The deadline to submit applications is March 1, 2021.
