I am a mother to five: Kennedy is a senior at Murray, majoring in Geology and substitute teaching. Haley is in a Construction Certification program at John A. Logan and working as a manager at Smoothie King. Brayden is jumping into the world of sales. Liam is in 6th grade and loves basketball, band, swim, STEM, and 4-H. Quinn is in 4th grade and spends his time playing basketball, baseball, swim, band, and 4-H. I also greatly love and am involved with all my nieces and nephews.
I chose to serve our community as a Physical Therapist, bringing quality outpatient therapy to Norris City with Tami Criss Payne , thus R & T Physical Therapy. We have been in business for 11 years and we have 12 employees, whom we consider friends.
My husband, Kelly Forston , and I started Forston Construction in 2016 and service the tri-state area with general contracting projects. I get to do the behind the scenes work of bookwork.
My family and I attend Plainview General Baptist Church , where I serve in weekly music ministry, teach Sunday School, work with music in Children's ministries, and serve on the church council. I also sit on the Mt. Olivet Youth Camp board and am co- dean of Junior Camp each summer with Katy Naas .
For the past several years, I have organized Christmas in the Village, thus leading to my current role as start up advisor and vice president of the Norris City Chamber of Commerce .
On occasion, you may see me working a register at Cornerstone Coffee House - Norris City . Sometimes on Wednesday, you may also see me subbing in one of the Norris City Omaha Enfield CUSD #3 schools.
My goal is to bring not only a mother's perspective to the school board, but also perspective from one who has been intimately involved in the community from a business and volunteer's perspective. I understand the importance of communication with NCOE employees as well as the parents and citizens of the community. I believe that communication is key to making the best decisions for our children and schools. My involvement in the community, my business interactions with the public, and my children being in school for the past 16 years makes me uniquely qualified to sit as your representative on our school board.
Thank you for your vote.
