Rep. Bailey is expected to be fine after he took a fall during House proceedings in Springfield on Sunday. The Representative fainted, but is now doing well and being treated at a local hospital. He is looking forward to returning to work as soon as possible. The Illinois House is meeting at the Bank of Springfield (BOS) Convention Center, the host site for the 101st General Assembly’s “lame duck” session.

State Rep. and Senator-Elect Darren Bailey (R-Xenia) is spending the night in Memorial Medical Center, a local Springfield hospital, for observation and additional tests. He was tested for the coronavirus (COVID-19) and is negative.
