Today is the day all the newly elected White County officials and their deputies were sworn into their new positions. Judge T. Scott Webb addressed the full courtroom of families and friends with an exhortation to patience for dealing with the public.
"Patience is going to be a virtue. You're going to meet people at their most difficult point in their lives...people are going to be confused, upset, and sometimes mad. You're gonna be cussed, and be in situations that are not pleasant. Nevertheless, ask God to grant you patience and kindness for everybody..." he concluded.
Deputy officers were also sworn in by Judge Webb. Shannon Johnson, Brittany McDonald, and Brandi Rawlinson were sworn in as Deputy Treasurers; Theresa Knasel, Lacy Stubblefield, and Staci Huffer as Deputy County Clerks; Marilyn Bryant as Deputy Supervisor of Assessments; and Sheila Headlee, Kari Starks, Craig Poole, Justin Spencer, Matt Wicker, and Michael Brown as Sheriff's Deputies.
