The Carmi White County School board met on Monday. Board members Kelly Ackerman and Tom Scates were not in attendance. The board took the following actions after the closed session:
The closed session minutes from March 15, 2021 were approved. The following hires and reassignments are all for the 2021-2022 coming school year: Robin Mick was reassigned from 1st grade teacher to an elementary interventionist for grades K-1 at Lincoln Attendance Center; Tessa Hargrave was employed as first grade teacher at Lincoln Attendance center pending certification. to fill the vacancy of Larissa Pesavento; Kaylea Chappelle was reassigned from a part time PreK teacher/part time RtI interventionist for grades K-1 to a first grade teacher at Lincoln Attendance Center, filling the vacancy created by the reassignment of Robin Mick; Emily Whetstone was employed as the a.m. crossing guard at Lincoln Attendance Center filling the vacancy created by the reassignment of Tanya Littleton; Becky Conner was employed as a special ed classroom aide at Jefferson Attendance Center filling the vacancy created by the reassignment of Dusty Brinkley; Joy McCully was reassigned from Administrative Secretary at the Unit Office to a special ed classroom aide at Jefferson Attendance Center filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Shelly Aldrich; Jean Nelson was employed as a special education individual aide at Jefferson Attendance Center; and Jennifer O’Daniel was reassigned from special education teacher at Brownsville Attendance Center to a special education teacher at CWC Jr. High, filling vacancy created by the death of Felicia Rumsey.
