Rachel Gray of Norris City had a dream....and now it's here. Norris City's newest business, Cornerstone Coffee House is gearing up for breakfast and lunch, starting next week. On Monday, the coffeehouse will be open at 7 a.m., offering a full line of specialty coffee drinks, as well as a limited menu of breakfast items such as breakfast burritos, croissants, casseroles and baked goods. Lunch offerings will include various salads and sandwiches. Cornerstone expects to offer more and various menu items as time goes on.
The list of coffee offerings is extensive. "Bliss," a specialty ice cream is being offered as well as homemade cookies, scones, and other baked goods. Occupying the former Puppy Luv and Duncan Designs shop on the east side of South Division Street, the renovated coffee house offers a casual community atmosphere.
Cornerstone Coffee House will be open until 5 p.m. today.
"Our current hours, starting next week will be from 7 a.m. to early afternoon, but may be extended at a later time," Gray said. "We are easing into this slowly to give time to train everyone."
