Norris City's Christmas in the Village holiday festival will start on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. with its first lighted Christmas parade. The parade already has more than 20 entries. Winners in three categories will be chosen: Best Decorated, Best Christmas Spirit and Best Use of Lights. Each winner will win $100 in Chamber Bucks.
The tree lighting, pictures with Santa, and a surprise will follow after the parade in downtown on S. Division Street. The vendor fair will be held at the American Legion from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Currently there are 13 vendors expected to be there.
The Norris City Museum at 110 E. Main Street will be open 5-8 p.m. and is decorated for Christmas.
