NCOE Goes to State, Wins 4th Place

NCOE Senior Kennedy Cook Signs with Frontier College Friday

Kennedy Rae Cook, of Norris City and a senior at NCOE, signed today to play volleyball for Frontier College in Fairfield, Ill. The two year Varsity Starter has been a right side hitter and blocker on the NCOE team. She is currently senior captain and helped lead the team back to the state tournament this year. She has participated in part of two Regional championship teams, one Sectional championship team, one Super Sectional championship team and 4th place at State team. Kennedy has 105 kills and 31 blocks on her record.

NCOE Lady Cardinals Place 4th at State!

The NCOE Lady Cardinals played at State on Friday against Illini Bluff of Peoria County, losing out on first and second place, even though they played hard. On Saturday, the team went down to Athens, thereby placing fourth in the State. Great job girls! You went far!

NCOE Lady Cardinals Going to State!

The Lady Cardinals have struck gold again! Taking the Championship on Friday night in the Super Sectionals, the team will take a trip to the Final Four at State next weekend in Bloomington, Ill. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16. Tickets for the State Tournament can be obtained at the high school office or purchased at the stadium and will go on sale Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. The cost is $8 per ticket, per day.

Lady Cards Sectional Winners!

Norris City’s Lady Cardinals Volleyball team prevailed at Sectionals on Wednesday night with scores of 25-22, 25-20. They now advance to Super Sectionals, facing Altamont on Friday at Red Hill/Bridgeport. Game at 7 p.m.
