The Carmi Kiwanis Club celebrated Christmas during their weekly meeting on Thursday. Pastor Greg Grant led the club in a game of Christmas "Who Am I?" Club members each answered three questions about Christmas. Members had to guess which fellow Kiwanian had answered each set of questions. Kiwanian Doug Hays was the winner of the game, earning a coffee mug filled with Christmas treats.
Prior to the game, President Eric Rahlfs reminded the club they will make their annual Christmas visit to Brownsville School next week.

At the weekly meeting of the Carmi Kiwanis Club, Kim Gwaltney, a past president of Kiwanis, served as master of ceremony for the presentation of the Legion of Honor award to four members who have served the club faithfully.

The program for the Carmi Kiwanis Club on Thursday, November 14, 2019, was presented by Lance Yearby, President of the newly organized Carmi Christmas Elves, Inc., a local not-for-profit community organization whose mission initially is to provide lunches for school children on weekends.
Kevin Wolff, CWCHS Boys Basketball Coach, addressed the Carmi Kiwanis Club Thursday, November 7, 2019 to discuss the 2019 -2020 season. Since try outs have not been held as yet, the coach could only speculate about the makeup of the upcoming season. He stated three of the previous season starters are returning. Those returning are Ethan Mahan, Ty Barbre and Peyton Edwards.
