James Christian Stevens, 27, of Carmi was sentenced in White County court this morning. Case 23CF96 for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a class 1 felony netted him eight years DOC and one year MSR, along with another eight years in the DOC and six months MSR on a charge of Unlawful Possession of Weapon by Felon, a class 3 felony. For case number 19CF28, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, a class 2 felony, Stevens received eight years DOC and one year MSR.
