The Carmi-White County Bulldog Football team took the long haul to Chester Friday night and dominated from start to finish as they improved their record to 4-3 and walked away with the sound 34-7 victory. First quarter action was all C-WC as they jumped to the early 6-0 lead following a 2-yard Bryce Northcott run. Colton Yates would then scamper to the end zone with 1:44 left to add six more points stretching the Bulldog lead to 12 as the first quarter closed.
Defense would remain strong in the second quarter as the Bulldogs would once again hold their opponent scoreless. The offense would slow down a little but William Pugsley would find some room to squeak into the end zone with just :45 remaining followed by a 2-point conversion off of a Yates run to increase the Bulldog lead to 20 as halftime arrived.
Following halftime, the Bulldogs would add six more points to their total when Yates would once again make his way across the line to put C-WC up 26-0. The Bulldog defense would find their scoreless streak come to an end as the third quarter was winding down for Chester would score their first touchdown of the game on an 11-yard completion along with the point after attempt being successful. Although this did narrow the Bulldog lead to 19, this would be as close as the game would ever be for the defense would rise to the occasion and keep their opponent off the board in the final quarter while adding another score for themselves off of a William Pugsley 2-yard run followed by a Yates run for the 2-point conversion to seal the deal for Carmi-White County at 34-7.
