Banterra Bank in Norris City presented a $10,000 check to the ongoing playground/ballpark project this morning at the Dale City Park. The Village, Indian Creek Township, and other private entities are working towards installing new playground equipment at Beaty field where the ballparks are located. The ballparks have been undergoing restoration this spring for the summer ball season.
A playground upgrade had been under consideration for some time from at least during the tenure of former mayor Roy Kissel but no decision was made about location. To see the proposed equipment for the new playground area, go to the Village's website here.
