A New York man came to Illinois to archery hunt deer thru a prominent outfitting service. While climbing down off the deer stand after taking off his safety harness, the uppermost nylon strap of the climbing stick failed. The hunter fell to the ground, shattering his femur.
The outfitter, landowner, manufacturer of the climbing stick and others are certain to be sued in the near future. You would have thought that the outfitter and guide would have checked before the client injured himself.
