The Village of Norris City plans to take possession of the vacant ambulance building on East Main Street sometime in the near future. Mayor Land stated he had met with Mike Ray and David Campbell and had reached an agreement with them to exercise an option on the ambulance building. Ray and Campbell are willing to sign paperwork to turn the building over to the Village. The ambulance building had been leased to the White County Ambulance Service but has not been in use for some time. The White County board ended the county’s lease agreement at their November meeting. The cost to the Village for making the transfer will be $5000. Discussions for the use of the building would come in the future once the transfer is complete.
