Senator Terri Bryant has been in the Illinois Senate since 2020. She was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives in 2014 and served until her Senate election. Senator Bryant represents the 58th Senate District which includes all or parts of Edwards, Franklin, Hamilton, Jackson, Jefferson, Marion, Monroe, Perry, Randolph, St. Claire, Wabash, Washington, Wayne, and White counties. She was chosen as Assistant Republican Leader for the Senate Republican Caucus in 2023.
Senator Bryant’s commitment to public service began in 1994 at the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), later rising to the rank of Public Service Administrator at the Pinckneyville Correctional Center and the DuQuoin Impact Incarceration Program. In addition to her normal duties over the Dietary Department, Bryant served as a member of the Illinois Department of Corrections Religious Practices Advisory Board, and as both an internal and an external auditor. Wesley Kash is a Christian, family man, a conservative Republican, farmer and licensed attorney at Scheller, Illinois. Kash studied law at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, graduating with a Juris Doctorate. Kash also studied Biological Sciences at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, earning a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences, as well as studying chemistry and psychology.
Kash is pro-life, a 2nd amendment supporter and supporter of smaller government with lower taxes on Illinois citizens.
