White County Sees 25 Covid-19 Cases Confirmed on Wednesday

Egyptian Health Department announced 25 cases of Covid-19 had been confirmed from White County yesterday. Saline County also saw 25 cases. The individuals include:
  • Saline County
    • Female: 1 under the age of 5, 1 in their teens, 2 in their 20’s, 1 in their 50’s, 1 in their 60’s, 3 in their 70’s, 1 in their 80’s, 1 demographics unknown-case status in progress
    • Male: 2 in their teens, 3 in their 30’s, 1 in their 50’s, 3 in their 60’s, 3 in their 70’s, 2 in their 80’s
  • Gallatin County
    • Female: 1 in their 20’s, 1 in their 60’s
    • Male: 1 in their 70’s
  • White County
    • Female: 1 in their 20’s, 1 in their 30’s, 5 in their 40’s, 3 in their 50’s, 1 in their 60’s, 4 in their 70’s, 3 in their 80’s, 1 in their 90’s, 1 demographics unknown-case status in progress
    • Male: 1 in their 50’s, 2 in their 60’s, 1 in their 70’s, 1 in their 80’s

To date, Saline County has had a total of 1,050  lab confirmed positives, including 20 deaths, White County has had a total of 506 lab-confirmed positives, including 9 deaths, and Gallatin County has a total of 195 lab-confirmed positives of COVID-19, including 2 deaths. The Illinois Department of Public Health, their healthcare provider, and the individuals have all been notified and are monitoring the situation.

As cases increase, the number of close contacts increases for individuals who need to be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days. To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, please answer your phone. Contact Tracers may be calling you to let you know that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive. Remember to maintain physical distancing of 6 feet or more at all times.

If you have been tested for COVID-19, please remember that you have to isolate at home until you have received your test results. Please note: If you have received results for a COVID-19 Rapid Test-- 𝙋𝙊𝙎𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀 or 𝙉𝙀𝙂𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀-- you should still 𝙄𝙎𝙊𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙀 until you receive your lab-confirmed results. IDPH recommends, over the next three weeks, stay home as much as possible, leaving only for necessary and essential activities, such as work that must be performed outside the home, COVID-19 testing, visiting the pharmacy, and buying groceries.

IDPH announced that Illinois has 8,922 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 140 additional deaths. Bringing the total to 606,771 confirmed cases and 11,014 deaths in Illinois.
