The Norris City Village board on Monday night voted to pursue court action against the owners of LaDiDah, previously housed at 102 E. Main St., to reclaim the entire TIF grant the Village awarded them in 2021. Heath and Danielle Short were awarded $17,100.00 in taxpayer funded grant money to repair the roof and ceiling in the building. The TIF agreement stipulates that if the Shorts sell, transfer or otherwise convey or dispose of their beneficial interest in the building within one calendar year after the effective date of the agreement, they shall reimburse the Village 100% of all funds remitted by the Village for the improvements.
