Thomas Junior Headlee, 54, of Carmi passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Fairfield, IL on January 16, 1963 the son of Thomas and Judy (Coaliron) Headlee, Jr. Tom married Sheila Jo Browning on June 3, 1993. He was a correctional officer for the White County Sheriff’s Department. Tom was a member of the FOP #249 and the First Christian Church in Carmi. He was an avid knife and gun collector.
Tom is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sheila Jo Headlee; two sons, Michael R. Headlee and Thomas C. “T.C.” Headlee, of Carmi; mother, Judy Headlee, of Carmi; six sisters, Elizabeth (Duane) Mason, Linda (Carie Donnamaria) Derrick, Donita Page, Tina (Keith) Wesley, Tammy (Joe) Pierson and Carrie (Josh) Carpenter; two brothers, Ronald Lovell and Timothy Headlee; father-in-law, Charles E. (Nancy) Browning; two brothers-in-law, Roger (Beth) Browning and Scott (Bobbi) Browning; sister-in-law, Jill (Jason) Goldman; granddaughter, McKenna Johnson; several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Headlee, Jr., his daughter, Lannette Marie Headlee and his mother-in-law, Patty Jo Browning.
Funeral services for Thomas Junior Headlee, 54, of Carmi will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Pastor Chris Marsh officiating. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to Cops and Kids Christmas in Carmi and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi
