The Omaha Village board held a short meeting on Monday, October 11, where they signed off on paying the village insurance, making their USDA payment of $6991.25, approving a Park and Rec withdrawal of $350.00 for the fall festival/Halloween party and a $150 request to pay for the firemen appreciation dinner. In an effort to expand the availability of fresh, locally-grown produce and strengthen the competitiveness of Illinois’ specialty crop industry, the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) is now accepting Specialty Crop Block Grant Proposals.
