Pair Arrested Thursday in Carmi After Traffic Stop Nets Drug and Weapons Charges

Carmi Police stopped a white Buick Riviera the morning of April 1 in the Rock Bottom parking lot after the car was clocked going 66 mph in front of the Dollar General store. Nicholas Dalton Page, the driver, age 23 from Crossville was cited for speeding and was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license and for unlawful display of a license plate not authorized for the vehicle. Drug Arrests Keep Carmi Police Busy Over Weekend

Last Friday afternoon (Oct. 2) Tara J White, 35 of Carmi, was stopped on 3rd street at the Carmi Fire Department and arrested for Driving While License Suspended. A search of a backpack in the truck revealed a meth pipe with meth in it. White was additionally charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession ofDrug Paraphernalia and Unlawful use of Property. She was held in White County Jail. [Read more...]

Crossville Woman Found in Possession, Stolen Car and Meth

Sheena N Garrett, 33  of Crossville, was stopped by Crossville PD while driving a stolen vehicle on Friday. The black 2013 Ford Edge was reported to be stolen out of Evansville, Ind. Garrett was arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle. She was also charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful use of property and possession of drug paraphernalia after a meth pipe and a baggy containing 1.3 grams of a substance testing positive for meth was found in her purse.

On patrol in Maunie on Wednesday, Deputy Sheriff Randy Graves observed James H. Earl walking on Washington Street. Believing Earl was the subject of a White County warrant , Deputy Graves contacted Dispatch to affirm the warrant was valid and Dispatch said there was a valid warrant for DUI. [Read more...]
