The Indian Creek Township board learned last night that there are no records to be found documenting any lease or deed for the property by the ball field that the township has been using for many years. Effectively, the township has been squatting on the land. The owner, Mrs. Bond does not wish to sell the property but would like to have a lease with the township for the use of it. Another Solar Project Seeks Acreage in White County, Special Town Meeting Called for September 7
Another solar project is looking to locate in White County, it was learned on Wednesday night at the Indian Creek township meeting. Lindsey Workman from Vesper Energy introduced herself to the board and spoke about her company's project. Named Meadow Springs Solar, the project looks to produce 150 MW as well as provide battery storage for 150 MW. The company seeks 1000 acres in the area. Township Approves Budget, Holds First Decennial Committee Meeting
The Indian Creek Township board on Wednesday night to give its approval to the budget for the coming year. The trustees approved the Road District budget of $460,000.50 and the Township budget of $451,849.00. Both budgets are for the year starting April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2024.
Supervisor Ron McAnulty reported the total of the funds in the township are $1,118,019.89. This includes $931,000 in the Town Fund, $22,000 in General Assistance plus $75,000 invested in a cd, and $88,000 in the sweep account. The trustees approved the financial report. [Read more...]

Township Building has New Security Cameras, Board Approves Budget and Levies
The Indian Creek Township board on Wednesday night examined the budget for the coming year and the tax levy.. The new budget represents a 4.9% increase over last year’s budget for all funds except for the General Assistance Fund. Five hundred dollars was allotted to that fund. It was passed by three trustees since Jeromy Johnson was not in attendance. The new budget approved by the trustees has an increase of $109,080.00 over last year’s budget. [Read more...]

Indian Creek Township is composed of good, moral, loving citizens. Well, mostly. A few need a good spanking, but mostly people are pretty good. I’m here to testify they deserve better.
I’ve been running all around the internet virtual highways and byways screaming, “The sky is falling.” You might say I’ve been crying “wolf”. Unlike the fable about the geezer who cried wolf, there is really danger here. We have to eradicate the danger and prevent it from coming back.
