Turnout in the mid term White County elections was up to 59% over all, a definite improvement from turnout in the primary elections held on June 28, which proved to be around 33%. Of the of 9,845 registered voters in the county, 5800 cast a ballot, whether through early voting at the courthouse that started on September 29, vote by mail and nursing home voting, and precinct voting on November 8. Long Time Dementia Resident Registered to Vote at Wabash Christian Village
A report has surfaced that a resident with long term dementia was recently registered to vote at Wabash Christian Village. The witness stated that two people approached her mother, who she says can’t remember what she had for breakfast. One of the women who approached the resident about voting was reportedly an activities director at the nursing home and the other woman was unknown to the witness. [Read more...]
