I tell this story all of the time. It resonates with me and I think we all need to understand it.
Long ago and far away, I learned a valuable lesson. I attended the “New Testament Baptist Church” in Cahokia, Illinois. Old timers referred to the church as “Hard Shell Baptist”. They were strict on themselves, and others. They were the don’t dance, don’t laugh, don’t have fun, guilt ridden church in a dying community.
