White County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Brown observed Chalon D. Phelps, of Crossville, standing next to a blue Jeep passenger car on 2550 N. at 2060 E. in Grayville, Ill. on March 4 and knew him to be wanted on a White County warrant for Resisting. Phelps was advised by Officer Brown about the warrant, and became upset, stating he had taken care of the warrant. Feel Good Story: Crossville Woman Starting Nursing School Wins $1000 Cash at Kelly’s Quick Stop

Amber Hast said she is recently divorced and is starting her life over. Hast has been a CNA for a few years and is struggling with Crohn's disease, but plans to start nursing school at Wabash College soon. Hast was the winner of a $1000 giveaway in a drawing at Kelly's Quick Stop this week. The drawing was sponsored by gaming company Accel Entertainment. Amber was excited about the win, to say the least.
White County Sheriff’s Reports – April 5
Crossville man arrested
Deputy Jordan Weiss and Deputy Matt Wicker of the White County Sheriff’s Dept. assisted Officer Brown of Grayville PD on April 5 with a traffic stop on East Butler St. in Grayville. Officer Brown found the driver of the vehicle, Logan D. Fisk, 34 of Crossville, had a suspended driver’s license. Upon walking up to the vehicle Deputy Weiss was notified that Fisk was seated in the rear passenger seat of the vehicle. Deputies Weiss and Wicker had been searching for Fisk to serve an active White county Warrant. Fisk was placed under arrest for the active warrant and transported to the White County Jail for booking and processing. [Read more...]

Deputies Wicker, Spencer and Sheriff Graves were dispatched to a call on Friday about a domestic dispute at 203 E. Hosick St. ,Enfield. Caller Robert M. McGhee stated he had the victim Olivia C.
