Superintendent Matt Vollman explained to the CUSD#3 board on Wednesday that some of the policy updates they would be looking at allowed for the school district to opt out. Every year, school boards look at updating their policy handbook and align it with new state laws. The policy updates are numerous this year and local boards are reading them now. School districts are allowed an option to "opt out" of some of the policies in accordance with the district's local values.
