The Rend Lake Rangers who visited the Summer Reading program at the library last Wednesday were Breanna and Morgan, bringing five live snakes along with them: the Western Hog Nose, a King Snake, a Prairie King Snake, a Corn Snake and a Desert King Snake. The attendees were intrigued and delighted. Almost every child let them put the snake around their neck and take a picture. Twenty-seven kids attended and they all received a prize at the end of the program. These ladies did an excellent job presenting their program!
Milly Pate will present the next two programs. The first is about finding the path to the ancient trees and the next one is about following the blueberry path. The Rend Lake Rangers will do the last program and will bring live frogs and turtles to demonstrate their presentation about reptiles.
