Nearly 1,000 degrees and certificates were conferred at the 56th Annual Rend Lake College Commencement held Saturday, May 13, in Waugh Gymnasium.
Two ceremonies were held where just under 300 graduates walked across the stage. Overall, 483 students graduated with 475 occupational certificates and 479 associate degrees. Board of Trustees Chair Larry Manning and Vice Chair Brian Dorris had the honor of presenting the students their degrees and certificates. They were flanked by fellow board members Jeff Jones, Ron Daniels and Joe Coy; Student Representative Maggie Stacey; and President Terry Wilkerson. Academic Council Chair Mike Meinert, along with Vice President of Instruction & Student Affairs Lori Ragland, announced the graduates.

SPRINGERTON - Christian Turner (Occupational Certificates in Agricultural Mechanics, Diesel Technology and Heavy Equipment Technology), Katie Diane Wimer (Associate of Arts & Associate of Science).
