“The guy in this picture needs to be sent home to Benton. He’s your state Rep here in the 116th District. In 2023, he was one of a handful of Republicans who voted to allow non- citizens to become sheriff’s deputies and police officers here in the sanctuary state of IL.
In 2019-again-he joined a small handful of Republican lawmakers who voted for the progressive gas tax increases we enjoy yearly here in the Land of Lincoln. The insult to these egregious tax increases is that $500,000,000 collected downstate NOW goes to the Chicago and collar county area due to legislation passed this year.
In reference to the non-citizen/LEO issue: The least we can do is require proof of citizenship before listening to their oath to defend the constitution of the country they have not yet fully embraced and assimilated into.
We should expect better, Southern IL. When this guy shows up at your next food serving event with his ‘selfie’ camera, ask him to explain himself."

As the campaign coordinator for Angela Evans’ Victory Through Unity campaign for Illinois State Representative in District 116, I continue to hear more comments such as these. This X post really sums it up beautifully. He points out exactly why it is time for Angela Evans, a true grassroots Conservative Christian businesswoman, to ascend to this office and restore term limits, fight for lower taxes, demand the abolishment of sanctuary cities, and call for stronger support of our Military members and law enforcement members, especially ICE.
