Christmas in the Village was the brainchild of Rhonda Forston, owner of R&T Therapy in Norris City. The town normally has a Christmas tree-lighting event, along with a visit from Santa. Hot chocolate and cookies have been served in the past at the Lions Club.
This year saw a new event, complete with a "Santa's house" and of course, Santa; music by Payton Dale, Christmas caroling, and a few vendors to open the holiday festivities. The tree is now a permanent tree, planted at Dale Park. Hal and Debbie Bryant brought their miniature horses to town and offered carriage rides. Most of the South Division businesses were open for the evening with special shopping and food and drink offerings. The weather enticed many to come out for the evening, and the event was filmed from Robert Armstrong's drone. The only thing missing was a few snowflakes, but perhaps those attending didn't mind!
