Milly Pate presented the summer reading program this week. It was called "Finding the Path to the Ancient Tree." She explained how trees grow and how trees help the forest family. She brought pieces of a tree so the children could count the rings and fir cones for the them to examine. She then handed out small slices of a tree for them to take home and provided apple slices for a snack.
