Longtime District Station Manager JC Tinsley To Leave Position at Month’s End

WROY/WRUL Station Manager JC Tinsley announced a few days ago on Facebook that he would be leaving the radio station in the coming days. The September 4th announcement was an introspective peek into Mr. Tinsley as he explained his history in radio, his goals, and what he feels he has brought to the table in White County. The community outpouring of love and respect on his post proves he will missed in his current capacity. Tinsley has been with The Original Company since April 2003.

"I’ve spent more than half of my life building, developing, investing in and trying my best to make a difference for the communities we serve in my role at the radio station. It’s coming to an end, however. I’m devastated to be leaving it. I’ve loved my work, even when it was unappreciated or hard, even when it wasn’t believed in, even when it made me a target. I believed in it and the difference I was making. I still believe that...I’ve tried to not stand on the sidelines and bemoan or just drag others. I’ve tried to understand and to make hard things understandable while being fair and objective. From a news standpoint, I’ve not done favors which has at times lost me friends/colleagues." ~ from Tinsley's Facebook announcement. Tinsley also said he wasn't ready to talk about what he would be doing next.
