The Michael Hillegas Chapter/NSDAR is collecting canned goods for the Marion VA center Food Pantry. The pantry was initially created to assist homeless veterans, but now offers food and other items to any veteran in need. The Chapter is collecting until November 18.
Items being collected are: canned soups, chili, boxed potatoes, canned vegetables, baked beans, pork and beans, spaghetti sauce, saltine crackers, canned meats, canned beef stew, Hormel microwave entrees, Jiffy corn muffin mixes, oil in small bottles, canned cranberry sauce, canned sweet potatoes. Non food items needed are: body wash 3 in 1, men’s deodorant, dial soap, shaving cream, t-shirts, and. sweat shirts in L, XL, 2XL, 3XL sizes.

Box 526, Norris City, 62869. Drop off donations of canned goods at: Norris City Library, Crouch’s Accounting in Norris City or CurleQ Salon in Harrisburg.
